Donations

Monetary donations in any amount are needed and greatly appreciated! The Ark is a nonprofit 501(c)3 and your monetary donation is fully tax deductible. You can specify the area you would like your donation to go towards, or allow The Ark to use your donation where the need is greatest. You can also make a special donation in honor or in memory of someone.

The Community Foundation program located at www.GivingMatters.com provides detailed information about The Ark and a link to make a secure online donation.

Food pantry donations are greatly needed and much appreciated.

Special Donations
Make a donation to The Ark in honor of someone or in memory of them. We will send a card recognizing your donation to the name and address you provide with the donation. You can donate online or by mail.

Round Up
Add $1 to $5 to your monthly water bill. 100% of the money goes to The Ark. Contact Rhonda Mays at 2nd South Cheatham Utility at 952-3094 to sign up for this program.

Food Pantry Donations
We are always in need of donations for the food pantry. In 2006, 11,871 pounds of food were distributed to our neighbors in need in South Cheatham County. We have two main food drives each year, at Thanksgiving and in May during the Postal Food Drive. Food donations are always needed and can be dropped off on the front porch of The Ark in the container marked food donations. Items that we are always in need of are:

Peanut Butter
Cereal
Canned Meat
Macaroni and Cheese
Soups
Canned Fruit
Pasta Sauce
Pasta Noodles
Crackers
Rice
Dried Beans
Canned Milk
Cheese (Velveeta)

Clothing Donations
We do provide clothing assistance on Tuesday evening during food pantry. But because we have very limited space, we ask that you please call before donating clothing and household goods. We often are unable to accept clothing donations. We cannot accept used computers. Please do not leave anything but food donations on the front porch unless authorized to do so. Clothing donations are no longer tax deductible.

Fundraising events
We invite you to do a fund-raising event to benefit The Ark- big or small! Church and civic groups, clubs, schools, businesses and individuals can help their neighbors in South Cheatham County by doing a fund-raising project.
